A Little Rusty

Outfit Details: Top- Tucker For Target, Dress- Thrifted, Belt- Forever 21, Shoes- Minnetonka Moccasin Co.

Funny how easy it is to forget how to do things once you haven't done them for a while. This explains why it took me a too long to get this post together. I'm a little rusty. Not that I was ever an expert at codes and blogging at all! Since it's a four day weekend and Jon is at work, I thought "Why not do a little bit of updating?!" I got my Cannon outta the closet, turned it on, and then thought "Uhhhh.... I know how to do this!" I had forgotten how to take pictures. What is up with my brain?! But like riding a bike, I remembered and got to snappin'. Same with this whole coding deal. I guess I'm gonna have to lessen my after-work-telly-watching sessions to stay on top of these things.

So I decided to match with the state of my skills last night, and wore rust details to warm up my gray dress. I felt like being comfortable for date night so I paired it with my Minnetonka Booties. My Minnetonkas are my favorite. They are the comfiest shoes I own, they're simple, cute, and they match with everything! Not much has changed when it comes to my polka dot obsession. You can add any print to a simple dress to make it pop. Polka dots just always happen to be my first choice.

I haven't done much shopping lately, just a little bit of thrifting here and there. We're all guilty of having something in the closet that never gets worn. I'm trying to rid myself of this bad habit and get creative with what I already own. So far I've been doing pretty good.

Well I'm off to do some weekend thrifting! Wish me luck!

Black + White

Outfit Details: Top- Popbasic // Bow tie- Urban Outfitters // Skirt- Forever 21 // Tights- Target // Boots- Franco Sarto

Happy Friday, lovely people! Last night before I went to bed I could have sworn that it was Wednesday. Well turns out I was wrong! This week went by really fast... actually, this month did! Time flies when you're having fun, right?! Friday's are always good days though! I don't have any set plans for the weekend, but I do want to do something fun. Lets see what pops up! Do you guys have any special plans for the weekend?

Today was full of family fun and errands. I think I got a good start to my weekend already! This morning I went out for a walk, and then got ready to go to breakfast with my parents. My nephew joined us too, which always means a blast! Then off to run our errands we went. As soon as we were done, we celebrated with some frozen yogurt. I seriously love that stuff!

A flowy skirt probably wasn't the best decision for today, because it is so windy outside! This is why I decided to take some pictures indoors today. I also decided that black and white where the colors of the day! As you all know, I love print mixing! Whenever I mix prints, I have to throw a few polka dots in there too! Oh, and I love this bird skirt too! I don't think I've worn this skirt since the Summer! My Summer staples are coming out to play little by little.

I bought a Cannon AE-1 not too long ago, and I haven't gotten the chance to play with it yet. I'm thinking that I might get some parts that it's missing, and some film for it soon. I love playing with old cameras! I'm such a newbie at all this photography business. It really takes skill and creativity to be an amazing photographer! I hope one day I'll acquire half the skills of some amazing photographers I've seen! Last time I asked tips, I got some really good ones! Have any of you used a camera like this one? Anything I should know?

Well I'm off to continue my weekend fun! I hope you all have a lovely one!

Green Indeed

Outfit Details: Dress- FE U.S.A // Tights- Modcloth // Shoes- Bait Footwear

I've never been one to celebrate St. Patrick's day, but I decided wearing some green wouldn't hurt! I've been really into celebrating every holiday this year. So far, so festive! After all, green is slowly turning into one of my favorite Spring colors.

Speaking of green, my husband spied this little dress at the store and made me get it. Doesn't he have amazing taste?!  He's the best shopping buddy, and always breaks down my penny pinching ways. I've also been looking for a dress that has a vintage feel to it, and this fits the category. And it has polka dots! What more can I ask for?

Also, don't forget to enter the Scarlett Garnet giveaway! It ends tomorrow!

Polka Dots, Pockets, and a Pop of Color

Outfit Details: Top- Forever 21 // Skirt- Theory // Tights- Target // Shoes- Nautralizer

I'm sure you all have noticed my polka dot obsession. I wrote a post not too long ago about how I wanted to add different things to my closet, and maybe tone down my love for polka dots. I think that may be impossible though. Needless to say, polka dots are here to stay! I just can't stay away from them. I guess I can say that polka dots are my spirit print!

I am a big fan of dresses and skirts with pockets. I think they not only look neat, but they also come in handy. I've had this skirt for a few years now, and I've always loved it. It's one of those timeless pieces that I'll probably never get rid of. I also like the fact that I can dress it up or down. I thought I would add a little pop of color to these neutrals I was wearing. Colored tights always do the trick.

On Sunday, I decided to dress up a bit for a date with the hubby. We had a great weekend. We got to watch a movie, eat some good food, and spend some quality time together. It was awesome.

Here Comes the Sun

Outfit details: Dress- Forever 21 // Tights- Modcloth // Shoes- Natualizer // Shades- Tumbleweeds Handcraft

The sun decided to make an appearance this weekend, and I love it!  It was so warm out that I even wore a sleeveless dress! No sweater in sight today. I am totally ready for more of this weather!

I know that we are about a month away from it being officially spring, but I am already ready for what it brings. Spring has got to be my favorite season. The weather is perfect, the flowers bloom, kids bust out with their lemonade, and I get to wear colorful dresses! Oh, and sunglasses! It doesn't get much better than that, right?!

Lovely Layers

Oufit details: Top- Popbasic, Dress- Zara, Belt- Another Line, Shoes- Kimchi Blue

One of my favorite parts about chilly weather is the ability to layer. I love layering! It's a cute way to stay warm! Today I decided to wear one of my favorite dresses with one of my most recent purchases, the Popbasic polka dot top. I absolutely love this top! It is so comfy and it can be worn for so many different occasions. It can be dressed up and dressed down as well. I am obsessed with polka dots so I had to have Popbasic's micro collection. The micro collection came with two lovely necklaces, which should be making their appearances on here very soon! This micro collection is still available on their website. So go snag it before it's gone!

I've been trying to incorporate more colors into my outfits lately. I'm usually wearing white, navy, gray, red, or black. I felt like giving purple a chance this time. Especially since I hadn't worn this dress in too long. Hopefully I can bring some more color to this place!

A few of my favorite things: Fall Edition.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.... FALL! Yes, I love, love, love this season! I actually do think that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but I can't help falling in love with Fall. Here's why:

1. Pumpkin Pie scented candles. I absolutely love pumpkin pie! I know it's a little bit too early for Thanksgiving dinner, but hey if I can't eat it... I'll just smell it!

2. Pumpkin everything. Who am I kidding right? I can't just limited it to candles! I recently had the pumpkin spice frappuccino from Starbucks, and oh my! It was amazing! I want to try the pumpkin spice latte next.

3. Boots, tights, and sweaters. Fall weather is perfect. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just cool enough for you to bust out the boots, tights, and sweaters and not look ridiculous.

4. Fall colors. Today I was majorly diggin' Fall colors. I don't have much orange in my closet, but I'm looking to change that this fall.

P.S. I love my Minnetonka Mocs. <3
5. Goofing around with costumes at Target. Yesterday my mom, hubby, and I were at Target and I could resist picking up these glasses! My mom happened to start the fun by putting on a masquerade mask, and then the fun started from there. Ah, fun times.
So what are you favorite things about Fall? :)

Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too.

I don't know why, but I have "Friday I'm In Love" by The Cure stuck in my head. I must want it to be Friday really bad. Either way, today is not Friday. It is Tuesday and I am loving it! So Tuesday I'm In Love it is!

Today I got a very early start to my day. I woke up at 5:00 A.M. I think I've mentioned on another post how much I love waking up really early. It puts me in a better mood when I wake up early. So I woke up, made a few bows, and cleaned a bit. Got all spiffy. Then I had a little coffee date in the kitchen with my mom. She's the best coffee date and the best coffee maker as well. Then errands, errands, errands.

The rest of my day will consist of pure relaxation and preparation for an Interview I have tomorrow. Wish me luck, loves! I have been on the job hunt since May when I graduated. Lets hope something comes up! I also thought I would mention how nice it feels to update my blog more often. I love seeing all of your ladies' posts! You all inspire me so much! I hope I can do the same for some of you too!
