Just Another Manic Monday.

My Mondays have not been very busy for the past few weeks, but I think today is the start of a whole lotta them. I start school this week on Thursday, and I am getting so excited! Yes, I am actually excited about school! Today I dropped an online cognitive studies class for a yoga class, which increased my excitement levels by a whole lot. I'd rather get fit than write papers!

Anyway, today was a busy day full of errands, cooking, and fun. My mom surprised me with this divinity. The reason I say divine is because I just about died. (it was that good) :P Well, If I go to the right place that is. That is a subject for a whole other blog post though!



Oh yeah my day was sooooo busy that I had to make a list.... and taking self portraits was on there.



Today was a great day, but everyone knows that weekends always top weekdays. This weekend I went thrifting and I found this little fella.



Being a thrifter is almost like being a pirate looking for that treasure... or we can be leprechauns looking for gold.... I think I'll stick to being a pirate ;) When I think of leprechauns it makes me think of this:


And that is not pretty! I also think of this too... I love that guy with the blue cap's face.



And last thing on my list, sleep! Hope the haunting thoughts of leprechauns don't scare your sleep away. Just think about how happy that guy was! :P Goodnight!

This week.

My week was pretty adventurous, I'd say. I sailed through the channels on my television with my vicious lion and I took walks through Stockton. The walking through Stockton part definitely beats all the adventurous activities I did this week. High crime rates give it that effect. It was also my last week of vacation. Boo-hoo! It's about time though. I need to turn my brain on before It forgets how to do accounting! It's my last semester and I am excited, but also nervous. I'm so used to being a student. I wonder what it's going to be like to be an accountant. I will find out very soon though. :)

This week I also made some awesome purchases at Crossroads and Rasputins. I got some cute tops. My favorite was the sailor inspired top. Hence, my sailing through television channels! I also got the Beirut & Fleet Foxes vinyls. I love, love, love my vinyls! They make me :).

January, and what it has brought so far.

Happy late new year everyone! It's been a great year so far. The whole 20 days of it. As for resolutions, I didn't make a certain list. However, I have become conscious in a few things I would like to change.

1) I would like to eat healthier.

If you know me, you know that I love carbs! I am a pizza lover and a pasta fiend. It's amore to me! I also get baking urges after 9 p.m. which is not very helpful either! Lately, I've been trying to pay attention to the other food groups as well. I actually give spinach the time of day now! I am not a health nut yet, actually I am very far from it, but I have made a difference. I'm pretty proud of myself! I hope I can keep this going for the rest of my life. Eating healthy is a way of life.

2) I don't want to take life so seriously.

I am a big worry bug! I stress about big things, little things, medium sized things, you name it. I'm hoping I can take it easy this year.

3) I want to blog more!

I only blog once in a while, but this year I want to give my blog a little TLC. I have been inspired by Elsie larson's blog and Naomi Davis' blog. They are so awesome! Elsie's blog makes me want to go to Micheal's and shop my little heart out!

But with this coat it wouldn't be that bad.



Seems like everyone is wearing this coat these days. I don't usually do this, but I think I want to jump on the bandwagon. I fell in love with it when I saw it! Too bad when it was in-stock they didn't have my size. Oh well. It's nice to look at though. :)

Still Feeling Thankful

I know Thanksgiving already passed, but I believe anytime is a good time to be thankful. I have so much to be thankful for! I am so thankful for all of the people in my life. If you're reading this it is really likely that you're included in that bunch of people. I am so thankful for my family. I am daily surrounded by amazing people. I am also thankful for a great Thanksgiving! It was my mom's birthday and thanksgiving. Two reasons to celebrate calls for partying a little harder, which also means extra laughter. The trick candles, pin the tail on the donkey, and la loteria didn't make it a hard task either. It was the most fun I'd had all year. I sure hope I burned some stuffing off with all that laughing.

I definitely have to say that I am so thankful for my mom. This women is such an inspiration to me. I was happy to celebrate another year of her life. Don't know how she does it, but she is the most beautiful, wise, and amazing woman I know. She has inspired me in so many ways. She has made me who I am today and I am so thankful for having such an amazing role model & friend. I hope that someday I will be as amazing a mother and person as she is. I hope my kids love me as much as I love her too! I love you, mom!



It's also moments like these that I'm thankful for :)

Fall.

Happy first day of Fall everyone! I could feel the change of season today. It was really nice. My husband and I even carved some pumpkins. Jon's pumpkin is a masterpiece! It's a ship! Mine is a scarecrow. If it only had a brain. The carving was pretty hard. I'm not much of an artist, oh but It was so much fun.


Yeah, the epitome of Fall!

This also reminded me that my birthday is coming up! Geez, I am getting old. I'm married, I buy candles when I go shopping, and I watch auction shows. I love it! Well I've been celebrating my birthday for 21 years now and the birthday craze has went down, but I'm still pretty excited about another year of life. Not because of presents or anything. Ha. I have been wanting a bike for a while now. I love walking, and I'd like to step it up to cycling! That would be a nice upgrade. Maybe a vintage looking one? Like this.



I also saw this dress on a commercial the other day and feel in love with it. I am stuck on bikes!



Anyway, I love fall! and now I'm gonna fall asleep. Goodnight!

Finals week.

It's finals week! The week I have been waiting for all semester long. Well actually I was looking forward to the day after finals. Anyway, today I got an early start to my day, and I went straight to the books. I did a ginormous stack of problems, and I also produced this stack of flashcards.



Do those look conquerable? To me, they look like a dragon, and I'm just a little person trying to get to vacation land. With this said, I am gonna flashcard myself to sleep tonight. Oh, but today wasn't all work and no play. I took my breaks to keep me from going crazy. I would peek at my favorite little man every chance I got. That's my nephew! Isn't he so cute?! I love him soooo much! Here he is with my sister. He has a twin mom just like I have a twin dad.



So that pretty much sums up my day. Just a whole lot of studying. Wish me lots of luck with these monsters I call finals! Soon this will be over, and I will be safe in vacation land. Ahhhh. Can't wait!
