10 reasons you should do your homework.

I'm currently doing homework. Dreaded homework! I just decided to take a little break to talk about how much I hate it! Not really. I'm actually just here to encourage myself and other homework haters by listing 10 reasons we should do our homework.

10 Reasons You Should Do Your Homework

1. Gives you an excuse to make a "Study Music" playlist.
2. If you do your homework you'll probably do better on tests.
3. It gives you some alone time after a long/busy day.
4. Gives you a chance to pinpoint trouble areas so you can work on them. (You probably heard this one in class from your teacher.)
5. It makes you pull out your hair. (This is only applies to my fellow furry friends.)
6. Gives you an a adrenaline rush. (for my procrastinators.)
7. Can lead to good grades, which leads to a good GPA, which leads to good jobs.
8. Gives you an excuse to stay at home all day. Who goes out anyway? We are students. Students don't have fun.
9. It's an effective learning tool and gives you an excuse to use your brain. (Can you tell I am running out of reasons?)
10. When you finish you feel an extra special feeling called accomplishment, which makes you smile! :)

Home.

"Alabama, Arkansas.
I do love my ma and pa.
Not that way that I do love you."

Not only do I love this song, but I really miss home. Hopefully time will decide to go by a little faster so I can get there already! This month went by fairly quickly, which is a really good sign. Hopefully the next few months will do the same. For now, I'll keep my self busy with school. When May comes along the semester will be over and Jon will be closer to me, which only means I'll be closer to home!

I spy great things.

I am definitely no psychic, but I do imagine what my future will be like. I imagine great things. I imagine my husband and I living a happy life together. I imagine my beautiful future children. I imagine us being stable not only economically, but emotionally. I even see our home and pets! I see many wonderful things in my future, and I pray that God leads me towards them. I once read a book called "The Fourth Dimension" by Dr. David Yonggi Cho, in which he speaks of faith and effective prayer. He says that some people live poor lifestyles because the words that come out of their mouths are oppressive and negative. If we stay positive and think that good things will happen to us, it is very likely that good things will happen to us. When we pray for things, we have to visualize them and exercise our faith! We have a great God who can do all things. We have no reason to expect bad things to happen. We should pray and expect that our prayers will be answered. Matthew 7:7 says "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

It is inevitable to feel a little doubtful sometimes, but it's definitely not the way to live. When you feel like the stress of life is drowning you, just think of the beautiful light you will see at the end of the tunnel. I have my many moments of stress, but I try to think of the great things my future holds to keep me motivated. If you stay motivated and keep moving forward, you will get to your goal!

Here's a couple of things I see in my future:

1) I don't see us always being this young, but I do see us being this in love with each other. On December 12, 2010 I said some words that I meant with all of my heart. I love will always love Jon. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband, and I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

" I've got the will to love you always. Through the chilliest winter. The hot summer haze. I've got the will to love you always. I've got the will to love."

2) A beautiful home.

3) My babies! I don't have pictures of them yet, but once I do get some I'm sure I'll be blowing up my blog with them!

4) I know my husband sees this...

But right now I am wanting to be this:

And I very much see it happening in the near future... Like right now! I don't know why I always have to blog in the wee hours of the night. Well goodnight to you all! I hope you dream about your wonderful future! Goodnight! :)

My name is _____, It's oh so _____!

So this morning when I was at Subway some really annoying song came on, and it's been stuck in my head all day! It says something like "My name is keri i'm oh so scary...." well anyway, the whole song she is just rhyming with her name, and I've been singing different versions of the song all day! Like "My name is Keri, I'm oh so hairy. They can call me beary." Sadly, the song doesn't really work with my name...Wah!

Here's me trying anyway:

"My name is Marlyn, it rhymes with Darlene. But if that was my name then I'd be kinda gnarly (no offense to the Darlenes of this world). I dream of having a daughter named Marley, but if that doesn't happen then it's gonna be Carly?"

Okay, NO! Well hopefully now that I wrote about it, I won't have that wretched song in my head and I will be able to sleep in peace! Goodnight world!

Where my heart is...

Would I sound too much like John Mayer if I said that half of my heart is somewhere across the world? Well actually it's not half of my heart, it's half of me! Last time I heard, my other half was in Africa. It's also not half of my heart, it's all of my heart! Wondering how I am alive? Me too.

It's been a little over a month that Jon went on deployment. I am missing him so much. It's no fun to be without him. No kisses when I come home, no one to cuddle with, no one to play rockband with, no one to watch movies with, no... well you get the picture. It also seems as if everything has been put on pause or at least slow motion. Last month felt like 4 months! I miss my best friend!

There are many things that have been keeping me pretty optimistic in these blue times though. One of them is, of course, Jon! I get emails pretty much everyday. They really make my day so much brighter. They're like Oxy-clean to my day! They make my whites whiter and my brights brighter! I'm so blessed to have such an amazing husband like him. I thank God for him everyday. God has blessed me so much and has never failed me. He's got our marriage in his hands, and that is exactly how I know that we are going to be just fine in our journey together. I doesn't matter how many miles we are apart, we've always got each other and it really makes things so much easier on my heart. I'm also blessed to have such a supportive family. They make my load seem so much lighter. I can't thank them enough so much for all they've done for me! They never cease to add some laughs into my day, and distract me from boring accounting homework too. Although I have run into a couple of dragons since school has started, it has been helping the time go by faster. Well at least I know that time never stops, and I will see him very soon!

I love Jon so much, and I sure can't wait until he comes home. I keep in mind that this is only temporary, and that there is so much to look forward to when he comes back home. There are many wonderful moments waiting for us in the future, and I know that God will get us there. There's no other hand I'd rather hold, no one I'd rather grow old with, and no one I can love as much as I love him.

Here's a little slide show I made for him. We've made some great memories! I can't wait to make some more :) I'm so glad I can call him my husband and best friend. I love you Babe! <3
